About Polygraphs
Polygraph exams have been used by the law enforcement community for decades to: verify the statements of victims and witnesses; establish witness credibility; and evaluate the truthfulness of suspects. The most valuable aspect of the investigative use of a polygraph is to exonerate the innocent person or directly implicate the guilty party. It is particularly valuable in cases that are relying solely on testimonial evidence.
The sole purpose of a polygraph exam is to determine truthfulness; therefore there will be no tricks, surprises, or “pop quiz” questions. Every examinee will know the questions and hear them before the exam begins. Every exam conducted by French Polygraph & Consulting will conclude with one of three results: No deception indicated; Deception indicated; or Inconclusive. It is, and always will be, your polygraph exam, and you will be given the results directly or through your attorney if you prefer.
